Kent Allaway

Kent Allaway, CEM, CMP is the Vice President, Meetings and Trade Shows for Produce Marketing Association, the largest, worldwide not-for-profit trade association representing fresh fruits and vegetables. He has a background in hotel operations and has been with PMA since 1997. Kent’s group is responsible for planning and executing the logistical needs for all PMA meetings, trade shows, and events. He supervises a staff of five full-time employees and all logistical contractors and vendors. Kent is a Past President for the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of PCMA and is the current Chair-Elect of the Professional Convention Management Association.
David Saef
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Marketing
GES
David Saef is Executive Vice President, Strategy and Marketing for GES. He has led the growth of the company’s strategic services, including Marketing Solutions℠ and Smart Leads℠. Before assuming his current role, he also acted as a Strategy Advisor on national client accounts, where he provided insight on establishing and managing face-to-face marketing objectives, program performance and best-in-class program optimization. Saef spent seven years with L.E.K. Consulting, a global strategy consulting firm, in their Chicago and London offices. His high-level projects ranged from analyzing and recommending performance improvements to conducting comprehensive conjoint studies in Europe and the United States to determine the right product features and positioning of new products. Saef also worked with the United Kingdom’s leading airline to help optimize returns from product and service innovations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Soviet studies from Harvard College. Saef also earned his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Masters in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kenji Haroutunian
Group Director
Outdoor Retailer
Kenji Haroutunian is a 25-year veteran of the human-powered outdoor industry, working for many years in store management and teaching skills (including advanced climbing and wilderness navigation courses) during/after completing his degree at UCLA. In 1999 he began working for Outdoor Retailer, and has recently been appointed Vice President for Nielsen Expositions, directing the entire Outdoor Sports group. Kenji has been instrumental in developing industry-focused programs, like the Business Community Zones, the Project OR design competition, Green Steps, and The OR Virtual Design Center, which help attract core athletes, media and designers to the show and adds to the bottom line. A 2010 Access Fund ‘Sharp End’ awardee, Kenji serves on the Board of Directors of Friends Of Joshua Tree as well as working with Nielsen’s ERG diversity initiatives and speaking at event-industry gatherings about technology applied to the events business.
