The International Vision Expo and the have signed an agreement to collaborate on enhancing their continuing education programs that focus on contact lenses.
The two will co-produce the two-day Global Contact Lens Forum that will take place at the International Vision Expo East, March 26-27, at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York and then at the BCLA’s Annual Clinical Conference and Exhibition, June 6-9, at Birmingham, England’s International Convention Centre.
The agreement will allow both groups to enhance their content offerings on contact lenses and jointly develop conference sessions and scientific courses.
BCLA Conference Program Organizer Nick Rumney says in a statement, "We want to attract more eye care practitioners to our meetings and, in order to do so, recognize that we need to be able to teach them how to take their new knowledge and put it into practice. Vision Expo offers a model of excellence and its business solutions are an exact fit." International Vision Expo Conference Advisory Board Chairman Kirk Smick adds, "It's the perfect collision of science, education and business content."
