Two-Thirds of Medical Meeting Planners Affected by Med Regs
More than two-thirds of those polled in a recent Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) survey indicated that the 2009 Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) codes have impacted the level of industry support for their educational meetings.
Among the health care meeting planners surveyed, other findings included:
Nine in 10 (95 percent) indicate their organization receives industry funding for their educational meetings.
More than four-fifths expect industry funding to decrease over the next one to three years (84 percent) The study was conducted by The Boone Group, an independent research firm. Find out more here.
