A new tool helps people-on-the-go find friends and family whenever they’re traveling. Free trip and travel itinerary tool Traxo.com automatically detects travel reservations booked online with major airline, hotel and car rental booking sites and securely imports them into your personal travel dashboard. The site then matches your travel plans with personal and business contacts. If overlapping plans are found, each party is alerted either via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter or on the Traxo Web site.

Rather not inform your business contacts about your family’s upcoming vacay plans? No problem. Traxo lets you set separate privacy settings for specific contacts for past and future travel plans or determine on a trip-by-trip basis which contacts can see your plans. If a trip is canceled or modified, the site automatically updates the information on users’ profiles.

Another cool feature: personal recommendations. Instead of relying on hotel or restaurant recommendations from complete strangers, you can use the site to see a list of your contacts in your destination city and ask for their recommendations.
