The companies will join forces to launch the in May 2015 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. Tarsus already has an edition of the shows in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, scheduled March 4-6 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The trade show will bring educational suppliers into contact with decision makers in the country’s educational institutions.
Last year, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto announced a five-year plan to expand and improve educational opportunities with the aim of boosting the nation’s economic growth. The federal government committed to spend $47 billion on education in 2014 and an equal amount every year through 2018.
The new show launch is in response to that effort, says Ned Krause, CEO of E.J. Krause. “Quality education plays a key role in the economic development of any nation and is one of the key forces in enabling growth.”
Tarsus, which already has experience with the GESS brand, will partner with E.J. Krause because of its experience with launching and producing shows in Mexico.
“GESS Dubai has already established itself as the major player in the Middle East education field,” says Tarsus Group Managing Director Douglas Emslie in a statement. “The new event in Mexico allows us to build on our expertise and expand into the fast-growing Mexican market.”
