The inaugural Connect/Expo Comm Indonesia will take place Nov. 3-7, 2014, most likely in Jakarta, Indonesia, the capital of the country recognized by many as one of the world’s strongest emerging economic forces.
Tarsus Group already produces Connect Indonesia, which took place last week at the Jakarta Convention Center. Meanwhile, EJ Krause will be adding an event to itsseries for the ICT industry.
The first Expo Comm took place 25 years ago in China and now there are editions in Moscow, Tokyo and Beijing.
Connect Expo Comm Indonesia will be part of the annual Indonesia Infrastructure Week, which will include a National Broadband Congress intended to support the Indonesia Broadband Plan, an initiative funded by the Indonesian government to expand broadband capacity in the country and to the industries fueled by the technology.
The goal of Expo Comm Indonesia will be to allow telecommunications, media and wireless mobile firms from around the world to connect with Indonesian decision makers who are rolling out the country’s new broadband deployment program.
“Combining Connect Indonesia’s strong local presence with Expo Comm’s international reach will quickly allow Expo Comm Indonesia to develop into Southeast Asia’s leading ICT event,” says Tarsus Group Managing Director Douglas Emslie in a statement.
Ned Krause, CEO of EJ Krause, echoes Emslie, saying in a statement, “Expo Comm Indonesia is the perfect opportunity to accelerate ICT development in Southeast Asia.”
