Supercomm 2010 canceled due to financial concerns

Supercomm, the telecommunications and digital-technology trade show, scheduled for Oct. 26-28 in Chicago, has been canceled due to financial concerns. The show's sponsors, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and United States Telecom Association (USTelecom), decided to cancel the show after reviewing financial projections from show manager Expocomm Events.

The Supercomm show has been produced under different names and formats over the past few years. In 2006, the two sponsors split and held separate shows, GlobalComm and TelecomNext, but came back together in 2007 to sponsor a single show. The Supercomm name was then brought back in 2009.
