Record Attendance at This Year's Integrated Systems Europe

The AV industry tadeshow drew more than 44,000 attendees.

Last month Amsterdam hosted the tenth annual Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) tradeshow, drawing more than 44,000 attendees. The attendance numbers not only set a benchmark for ISE, but also set a record for AV industry tradeshows.

ISE is reporting an 8-percent increase in attendance over 2012, which includes slightly fewer than 900 exhibitors—also a record-breaking figure. The tradeshow was held at Amsterdam RAI, and occupied 12 halls.

In a statement, Mike Blackman, managing director of the event says: “ISE 2013 demonstrated more clearly than ever that the electronic systems integration industry is capable of defying economic headwinds and encouraging its stakeholder companies toward continued growth.”

Blackman’s statement is seemingly on-point as more than 500 companies have already reserved space for ISE 2014—especially good news considering ISE is expanding its footprint next year. The show already has 75 percent of its floor space reserved.

According to Blackman many of the exhibitors who are locked up for 2014 have also increased the size of their stands.

“All the signs point to a wonderful show in 2014,” Blackman says. “And a rosy future for an industry that continues to grow into business sectors that would have seemed out-of-bounds to us only a few short years ago.”
