Attendance at the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo Jan. 13-17 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas hit a five-year high with almost 11,500 attendees. More than 1,400 exhibiting companies in 3,250 booths spread out over more than 1.1 million square feet, according to PPAI officials.
Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com, gave the keynote presentation to kick off what was the PPAI show’s fourth consecutive year of growth.
“The PPAI Expo is widely recognized as the premier event in the promotional products industry,” says PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone in a statement. “Attendees and exhibitors displayed an enthusiasm and optimism that I believe will propel our industry forward in 2014.”
The significant growth in the show, according to PPAI officials, is attributed to an increase in promotional products suppliers and distributors, the collocation of the Recognition Professionals International conference and PPAI’s brand pavilion showcasing innovative products.
