Jay Burkette has been named president of the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association for 2014. The 30-year industry veteran is vice president of ExpoDisplays, an exhibit house and portable display manufacturer and distributor.
SmithBucklin has promoted Brian Teague to vice president of financial management and accounting services. Teague is now responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial management of client organizations in the Chicago and Washington, D.C., offices. He will continue to manage the client statistics and analytics group.
Ovations Food Services, a Comcast-Spectacor subsidiary, promoted two staffers.
- Steve Gregosky has been named senior vice president of client relations for the company. With Ovations since 2001, Gregosky has played a key role in helping the company grow from 10 operations a decade ago to more than 153 venues today.
- Charles Lawrence will take over Gregosky’s previous post as the senior vice president of business development. Lawrence began at Ovations in 2006 as vice president of business development to increase client retention.
AMF Media Group named events marketing veteran Lisa Demarest as team leader of events and head of the marketing agency’s event planning and management division. Demarest will produce large corporate events, tradeshows, conferences, product launches and senior-level meetings for AMF’s clients.
The Costa Mesa (Calif.) Conference & Visitor Bureau appointed Linda Ta marketing manager. Ta will oversee marketing functions, manage special events and handle media relations for the city of Costa Mesa.
Rick Blackburn joined the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau as vice president of convention sales, overseeing all convention and meeting sales activities and programs. His priorities will include strategic development of key niche markets, growing mid-week, shoulder and summer group business.
Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services Las Vegas office adds Samara Plastini as national sales manager. Plastini will manage sales in the Las Vegas market, as well as regional and national sales efforts.
