NAB Partners With Dubai Show
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has created an alliance with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), owner of CABSAT, the Middle East and Africa’s largest broadcast, digital media and satellite event, to create content for the show to be held March 11-12 at the venue in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The conference portion of the show, the CABSAT Conference, in conjunction with the NAB Show, will feature daily keynotes, a state-of-the-industry report, technical programs and panel discussions during the first two days of the event.
Both NAB and CABSAT officials say that along with enriching the content of the Middle Eastern event, the partnership will enhance international connections for NAB members as well as introduce U.S. industry leaders to their counterparts in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA).
“We are pleased to bring some of the world-class education we host at the annual NAB Show to the MEASA region,” says NAB Executive Vice President Chris Brown in a statement.
DWTC Senior Vice President Trixie LohMirmand says in a statement, “Our partnership with NAB will provide context for major international content management providers eyeing opportunities to accelerate future development.”
The NAB Show, scheduled April 5-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, typically draws about 93,000 attendees and more than 1,500 exhibitors. Last year’s CABSAT in Dubai had about 12,000 attendees and 850 exhibitors.
