Marketplace Events will launch the NOLA Home Show in January 2015 at Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center. The new annual consumer show debuts Jan. 16-18.
“We’ve had great recent success in launching new home shows in North American markets of strategic importance, including Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, Toronto, Birmingham, Cleveland and now New Orleans,” says Tom Baugh, CEO of Marketplace, in a statement. “We’re finding whether it’s a market we already serve—or is served by other show organizers—the proper Marketplace Events show positioned in the proper way in the proper venue can represent a significant opportunity for growth. We expect the NOLA Home Show to fit exactly into that niche.”
The company’s most recent launch, a fall home show in September in Birmingham, Ala., will be followed by a new Ohio show. The Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo takes place in March at the newly renovated Cleveland Convention Center.
The total number of shows for Marketplace now stands at 35 annually, with 10 shows in Canada and 25 in the United States. The company also produces a Holiday Boutique in Kansas City and The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo), “a trade and consumer show for the motorcycle industry,” in Orlando in October.
