Krause Plastics Show Delayed a Year

E.J. Krause & Associates is delaying the launch of its new plastics show in Mexico for one year.

Plastimagen Norte, originally scheduled to launch at Cintermex in Monterey, Mexico, in March will now take place March 3-5, 2015.

According to Plastic News, Arturo Morales de la Campa, the show’s marketing and communications manager, said the postponement is to avoid interference with a competing show to be held in late March in Guadalajara, Mexico.

E.J. Krause has staged a separate edition of Plastimagen in Mexico City for the last 18 years and will hold this year’s show Nov. 18-21. Officials at E.J. Krause say in a statement that the last Mexico City show, held last March, attracted more than 27,000 attendees.

The competing show, Expo Plasticos was held for eight years in Monterey before being moved to Guadalajara in 2012.

All three shows—E.J. Krause’s two and Expo Plasticos—focus on the Mexican plastics industry with exhibitors offering plastics processing, packaging and manufacturing equipment.
