Kevin Johnstone is no longer director of tradeshows for the National Association of Music Merchants.

Johnstone, manager of the highly successful NAMM Show and the association’s other events, had been with NAMM since 1994.

While association officials confirmed Johnstone was no longer with NAMM, its president and CEO Joe Lamond had not yet returned a call to Expo.

The most recent edition of the NAMM Show took place in Anaheim last month. At the time, there was no indication from Johnstone that he was planning any career changes.

“This is our 35th year in Anaheim,” he said at the time, “and I don’t think we’ll be going anywhere.”
