Interbike Will Open to the Public Next Year

Interbike, Nielsen Expositions’ major tradeshow for the bicycling industry, is set to allow some consumers to participate in the previously trade-only show beginning with next September’s event.

Details are to be announced at a press conference scheduled for Monday, Nov. 26, according to Interbike officials.

Access to what is the largest annual cycling event in the United States will be granted through a new program that will be unveiled next week in which retailers will have the opportunity to send invitations to enthusiasts.

The annual event will begin with an OutDoor Demo scheduled Sept. 16-17 next year in Boulder City, Nev., and then move the following three days, Sept. 18-20, to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The 2012 show, which attracted a record crowd of more than 25,000 tradeshow attendees and 1,200 exhibiting companies, was held at the Sands Expo/Venetian/Palazzo, also in Las Vegas.
