Welcome to the first issue of MedEXPO Insights, a new monthly e-newsletter covering the health care sector of the tradeshow industry.
The health care sector is a huge part of the overall tradeshow industry. EXPO Managing Director of Research and Consulting Michael Hughes pegs it at about $11 billion, or about 12 percent of the overall industry—the largest single segment. Government regulation has given way to turbulence in the field however, meaning up-to-date information on what’s happening in and around medical tradeshows is extremely important.
"EXPO is a brand on the move,” says EXPO General Manager Tony Silber, “and we couldn't be more delighted to undertake this initiative."
The monthly e-newsletter will bring readers original reporting and analysis on the health care tradeshow sector they can’t find anywhere else. It will include news, innovative uses of technology, show startups, best practices in attendee marketing and exhibitor sales, event and economic data and more. It will be accompanied by a semiannual report in EXPO Magazine, beginning with the March/April issue, diving into some of the same topics, with case studies and proprietary EXPO research.
“This e-newsletter is the first sector-specific e-newsletter EXPO has launched in some time,” says EXPO Executive Editor Michael Hart. “I expect that it will be a prototype for similar publications on other specific industry sectors in the future.”
