1105 Media Hires Daniel McKinnon to Lead Government Events Division

McKinnon joins the company after a lengthy tenure with Messe Frankfurt.

1105 Media has hired former Messe Frankfurt executive Daniel McKinnon to lead its Government Events division as vice president.

The division includes the flagship government technology event FOSE, as well as conferences on Infosharing; Cybersecurity, Mobile Enterprise and Cloud & Virtualization; and Enterprise Architecture and Big Data.

“Given 1105 Media’s focus on expansion in events, my new role will allow me to seek out innovative opportunities, build constructive industry relationships, and collaborate with internal and external partners in creating and sustaining strong trade shows and conferences,” says McKinnon in a prepared statement.

Other 1105 Media groups include Enterprise Computing; Office Technology; Security, Health & Safety; and Education Tech, which the company expanded this September with the acquisition of the School and College Building Expo.
