Only 17 percent of shows report exhibit hall rental fees are comped, according to the 108 show organizers who responded to an online survey conducted by EXPO Magazine and Exhibit Surveys Inc. in November 2006. However, many shows are negotiating other complimentary services. Sixty-six percent of shows report comped meeting rooms; 52 percent report comped ballrooms/banquet rooms and 31 percent report comped move-in/move-out days.
