Tip of the Week: Use the blogosphere as a research tool

Do attendees blog about your show? If so, use the blogosphere buzz as a research tool. New York Comic-Con Director Greg Topalian, Group Vice President for Reed Exhibitions, monitored blog posts to gauge response to show announcements. "The blogs are great resources to hear what's going on. They're also a great indicator if you're doing anything wrong," Topalian says. If announcements guests failed to impress, the show made quick adjustments. Learn more about this topic, see Best Practices: Word of mouth marketing in the June 2007 issue of EXPO.
