Tip of the Week: Promoting regional attendance
When planning regional shows, involve local or regional chapters and associations. Regional partners understand the needs of the local market and can help you get rooted quickly. Local leaders are “very influential,” says Bob Brown, President & CEO of the Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). “We engage them in the proposal process, from site visits to menu tastings.” A local chapter’s involvement in planning activities makes the regional show better, and the chapter benefits from a fresh pool of potential members.
